Thermally, the Slotted thermostatic bimetal element is specified for operation from 100-250°C, reset from 0-100°C and ±5°C temperature tolerance. Salt-spray exposure can be requested for 24, 48 or 72 hours. Slot position, slot width and length, full outline, fixing method and operating/reset temperatures should all appear on the approved specification; the finished thermostat should then be used to confirm the actual movement.

Before shipment, the Slotted thermostatic bimetal element is completely inspected and may also be checked by a third party. If transportation pressure causes a part to bend, carton condition, outer packing, damaged pieces and waybill details can be compared with the packing record and manufacturing batch to determine what happened.
