Circular Slotted Thermostatic Bimetal Element

A round outline and a functional slot are combined in the Circular slotted thermostatic bimetal element. The circular perimeter fits a corresponding location in an electric-kettle thermostat, while the slot can engage a support, locating point or movement feature. The component remains only one part of the switching mechanism, so it has to be evaluated with the contacts, support and assembly preload used by the customer.

The Circular slotted thermostatic bimetal element operates within 40-100°C and resets within 0-60°C, using a ±5°C temperature tolerance. Salt-spray requirements may be set at 24, 48 or 72 hours. The source does not prescribe a single disc diameter, thickness or slot size; those dimensions must come from the actual drawing or prototype. Functional approval should reproduce the installed preload and thermal path rather than testing the loose disc only.

Because Gan'en Electronics can make the bimetal and also assemble complete thermostats, matching can be approached from either the component drawing or the final switch. OEM, ODM and custom-by-drawing programs are available. The normal MOQ is 10,000 pcs. Standard samples can be supplied free excluding delivery charges, with typical lead times of approximately 7 days for standard production and 15 days for custom production.
