Thermostatic Bimetal Round Disc

In a KSD-301 thermostat, the Thermostatic Bimetal Round Disc is the calibrated moving element that changes state rapidly when the required temperature is reached. It does not include the complete contact system. Seat geometry, support height, contact loading and enclosure design all influence how the disc behaves after assembly, so a loose-disc check cannot replace verification in the customer's final thermostat mechanism.

Thermal choices for the Thermostatic Bimetal Round Disc extend from 40-250°C for operation and 0-200°C for reset. Accuracy can be specified as ±5°C or ±10°C, and salt-spray exposure can be 24, 48 or 72 hours. Dimensional values such as diameter, material thickness and crown height are not standardized in the source. Those items should be fixed together with the contact-pressure relationship on the approved drawing or mating sample.

A customer may maintain separate approved discs for different temperature codes. The usual order minimum is 10,000 pcs. Standard samples are free excluding freight, standard batches generally take about 7 days, and customized batches about 15 days. OEM/ODM and prototype-led development are supported.

Three records can define a production lot of the Thermostatic Bimetal Round Disc: the signed drawing, the accepted physical sample and the agreed thermal code. Final packing follows full inspection, with third-party verification available. Customers can request factory images or video during manufacture.
