It operates by using a temperature sensor to automatically sample and continuously monitor the ambient temperature; the control circuit activates when the temperature exceeds the preset value, with a configurable control hysteresis.

 

If the temperature continues to rise and reaches the preset over-limit alarm threshold, the over-limit alarm function is triggered. Should the temperature fail to be effectively controlled, a trip function can halt equipment operation to prevent damage. It is primarily used in applications such as high- and low-voltage switchgear, dry-type transformers, box-type substations, and other related temperature-sensitive systems within the power sector.
