Bimetal Snap Disc

When a disc-shaped bimetal element is required to produce a rapid snap movement after heating, the bimetal snap disc can serve as the core actuator in KSD-301 thermostats and related temperature-control assemblies. Its circular form concentrates the thermal deformation into a distinct mechanical action that can drive a contact mechanism. The part is suitable for thermostat manufacturers, appliance-component suppliers and developers building their own thermal-protection structures.

The bimetal snap disc is available with operating temperatures from 40-250°C and reset temperatures from 0-200°C, with ±5°C or ±10°C temperature tolerance. Salt-spray tests can be arranged for 24, 48 or 72 hours. A complete purchase specification should cover disc dimensions, fixing method and contact pressure as well as temperature data, because the trip-to-reset differential may change with assembly preload and heat-transfer conditions in the finished switch.

The technical team can compare drawings, prototypes or an existing switch, verify disc dimensions and temperature range, and use samples to confirm fit. OEM, ODM and custom development are supported. Free standard samples of the bimetal snap disc are available before mass production, excluding courier cost. Bulk manufacturing includes material inspection, process checks, semi-finished and finished-product inspection, outgoing verification and after-sales traceability, with another full inspection before packing. Third-party inspection is accepted. If discs are deformed or damaged in transit, photos, cartons, waybills and batch records can be used to investigate the shipment.
